RECKLESS FICTION - Week 4 - Part 3
Reckless Fiction’s shows closed with Hell Above this week. The dramatic stage presence was almost tangible during this performance. The band was energetic and enthusiastic about their own music, while also being solidly together. Their audience was enthused to see them, and we were happy to be watching. Great work this week Reckless Fiction.

RECKLESS FICTION - Week 4 - Part 2
Reckless Fiction used Blake for a break during sets, and he sang Lying Is The Most Fun A Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off. We love how the theatrical elements of the band’s stage show blends between the two styles they use. Blake’s voice is very full, and Erich sang a few lines backup, and we thought they fit very well together. The performance was electric, and very well put together technically.
RECKLESS FICTION - Week 4 - Part 1
Reckless Fiction opened shows this week with King For a Day. The song was dark and high energy, and very heavy. We aren’t sure that Erich was having the best time vocally on this, although the notes were exceptionally high for him. We’re constantly impressed with just how high he can sing with character, however we think this song may have pushed him just a little too far. The band was very, very together instrumentally, and it more than made up for it.
RECKLESS FICTION - Week 2 - Part 3
Reckless Fiction included Bulls In The Bronx in their set this week, it’s a song that we’ve definitely heard more than a few times, but it obviously isn’t a song that’s gotten old with fans. The song plays well live, the instrumental parts give the performance energy, and Erich Schutte is probably the only person who could sing this. Even when the whole band dropped out, the energy kept up in the form of the audience clapping along. Great work this week Reckless Fiction.

RECKLESS FICTION - Week 2 - Part 2
Blake Peterson has always been an integral part of Reckless Fiction. He sang Ready To Go. The dance-y near-pop song was fun for the audience, and it looked like the band was having a lot of fun with it as well. Blake’s vocals were as solid as ever, he could probably sing just about anything he wanted to. We’re always happy to hear him mid-set as a break from the band’s heavier work.
RECKLESS FICTION - Week 2 - Part 1
This week Reckless Fiction opened with The Divine Zero. We don’t think we’ve heard this before, but we enjoyed the addition. Erich Schutte sounded good singing it, though we did feel like something was missing in the instrumental lines. Their performance included streamers, smoke, and a very high energy performance from various different members of the band, but never everyone all at once. They were together, and the performance was well executed.
Reckless Fiction Takes Home the First Week
Tour veterans Reckless Fiction started out this year strong winning the first week of tour. They’ve always done well on tour, but have yet to take home enough weeks to win the coveted recording contract. We’re sure the band and their fans are hoping that this year is it. Congratulations Reckless Fiction.
RECKLESS FICTION - Week 1 - Part 3
The biggest twist from Reckless Fiction came with their choice to close with a song that sounds like it belongs to an entirely different band and genre. Fairly Local sounds more like something we would have heard from a hip hop act than the alternative rock act that we came out to see. Evan Albert sang for the first time that we’ve heard, and we aren’t entirely certain how we feel about it, but it was definitely interesting. We hope Reckless Fiction can find a sound that works for all of them on this tour. Great work this week.
