How Much to Tip When Traveling

Wine sommelier: Tipping is option but if the service is exceptional then consider a tip of five to 10 percent of the wine charge.
Spa service: Tip 15 to 20 percent of the bill.
Restroom attendant: If he or she hands you a towel or if you use any of the products displayed on the sink then tip $.50 to $1.
Maitre d':Tip $10 to $100 before you sit down at the table, depending on the restaurant and service you expect.
Concierge: Tip $10 or more for special services, including booking hard-to-get reservations.
Room service: Tip between 15 and 18 percent of the bill unless gratuity is included.
Valet: Between $2 and $5 each time your car is retrieved
Housekeeper: If you have the same housekeeper through your stay, then tip $2 to $3 per night and leave the money on a clearly marked envelope before you check out. Tip each day if there are multiple housekeepers.
Bellhop: $1 to $2 per bag and $1 to $2 for each delivery to your room.
Doorman: $1 to $2 per bag for moving your bags from the car to the bell cart, $1 to $2 for hailing a taxi.
Car service: 20 percent of the bill.
Skycaps: $1 or $2 per bag.
Taxi driver: 10 to 15 percent of the total bill.
Shuttle bus drivers: $1 per bag.
