As the night goes by I wonder if you are one of the drifters If you chase in dark the demons of your mind, one after another Because you know by heart this filthy harbor And I know thoughts get sour when comes the latest hour In every corner, sleep the monsters When familiar places are confined spaces From every corner, creep the monsters A soul that deliquesces will feast their greedy faces From every corner, creep the monsters And their foul embraces breed the human species As the time goes by You wonder if they are only your nightmares The real is grimmer than the demons in your mind You'll have to surrender
