For this project, I didn’t have much time, so I focused on using the "back to basics” of mixing: high/low pass filters, compressions, volume levels, and panning. I made good use of bussing this time, which I used for the drums and some of the guitar tracks. I also worked on trimming out some of the unwanted noises in the vocals. I also doubled the second vocal harmony, hard panned them, and gave them high/low pass filters to give the entire vocal arrangement a nice depth.
In this project I worked on mixing a full set of tracks including vocals, full drum set, bass, double guitars, etc. Also in the mix is a synthesizer that used delay on live. Overall, pretty much every track has compression, and the drums I bussed into an auxiliary channel, just to save time.
I also learned how to use a limiter, which I used on the overall track in order to boost the output signal, as it was very quiet when I played my mix on monsters vs. the headphones I had been mixing them on.
