i am once again rotating a wayward children she-ra AU in my head. weaver yoinking a pair of codependent feral children off the streets and mistreating them in different ways to intentionally bait the doors. adora runs away at 14 or so and lives with razz for a bit, tensions with catra rising amid clandestine meetings and adora trying to get catra to run away from weaver too. after a bad fight adora stumbles into etheria. catra finds adora entirely gone and also ends up in etheria as a result. catra didn't start with cat features or that name but claimed them as part of the mythos of etheria to fight she-ra. she recognizes adora as she-ra right away. adora doesn't recognize her. catra doesn't ever speak in combat to avoid being recognized. years pass and due to mutual weakening convictions they get kicked back out through the doors. adora returns to razz, learns razz was also a lost child. nonsense world, obviously. catra confronts weaver, sees through her highly biased "tragic" backstory, and just fucking claws her to death on the spot. adora sees weaver apparently having been killed by a puma in the news and thinks the horde commander has followed her back to earth somehow and flips out. she assumes "the commander" will go after her, uh, childhood situationship next. or already has. she hunts down catra and manages to pin her to the ground even without she-ra and demands answers and.
"hey, adora"
