i just found this blog and im already prepared to break your heart. ARthas leading a scourge attack on Stormwind and DK Varian on his way on a side attack and crossing through the graveyard and seeing Tiffins grave and he FEELS like he should be remembering something when he sees it and its nagging in his head so bad that he hardly even notices horror struck stormwind guards coming to counter the side attack he was involved in and seeing their resurrected king

and Varian just abandoning his own attack, staring at the grave transfixed. face pulling more and more into a grimace the closer he gets. Feelings of anger, sadness and the crushing weight of loss passing through his mind, and right back out, infuriating him. needing to know what’s in the grave, and all but abandoning his attack to pursue it, Arthas whispering in his head, demanding him to continue attacking

RUGHODO i don’t know if it’d go to him breaking open the grave and raising her, or just standing there. staring. trying to figure out what going on and why he’s feeling these emotions. And just slaughtering anyone who’d try to attacking him/approaching him

:0c I like the idea of the Alliance trying to hunt down and put Varian "to rest" while Anduin is hopelessly searching for a way to break the LK's hold or reverse it or SOMETHING but it's one huge horrible race against time. Also hello friend sorry for not buggin' ya with asks recently.

THAT SOUNDS HORRIBLE AND IF IT WAS A BOOK OR A FIC I WOULD READ IT IN A HEART BEAT, OH MY GOD. honestly oh my god, my head is just going with all these intense situations. And poor Anduin getting more and more frantic as they get closer and closer to finding him. AH, I WANT IT

I mean like, in the sense that he’s trying to talk Arthas down, even though he knows it won’t work. That he’s desperately trying to talk sense into his friend, also while yelling at him for fucking up so hard and killing everyone. So just, word-vomiting at his ex-friend in outrage till he gets stabbed. 

so like, not pompous hero-public speaky monologue, but more an angry-desperate rant that gets rudely interrupted

not about the DK AU, but I always wanted Varian to learn about Anduin using Mind Control to get his way during MoP, and just flipping out that his son would use the same tricks as Katrana Prestor. HE'S NOT MAD, BUT HE HAS NEVER BEEN THIS DISAPPOINTED BEFORE IN HIS LIFE. IN. HIS. LIFE. Imagine Anduin's face! Nothing hits like the disappointed dad line.

IMAGINE ANDUIN NOT REALIZING WHY, FOR A SPLIT SECOND, VARIAN WOULD ALMOST SAD ABOUT IT. Like, Andiun expecting anger, expecting to be yelled at, or disciplined. But instead Varian just gets a very drained look, and winces. Varian turning away from Anduin because of rushing memories, and he has to talk to the wall for a bit, unable to face him. Finally it dawns on Anduin, while his father tensely tells him how disappointing he is, how he couldn’t believe that Anduin would use something like that so freely, without regard to whom he was controlling

Anduin’s stomach dropping, his skin going cold and guilt hitting him like a fuckin truck
