You.. alright? ]_** Thebestmaster is moving very quickly, low to the ground, with the absolute tunnel vision he tends to get when he has an idea. A new fear to try out, something to plan and test and perfect as soon as he can get to the right place for it. Of course, he crashes into something–no, some*one*–halfway through that thought process. He backs up immediately, catches sight of a human, and then hears a voice coming from _way_ too low down to belong to her. But it is _talking_ as though it’s her. When the person and the sword (oh, _that’s_ where the voice is coming from) finally catch sight of him, he’s floating up higher from the ground, as if staying low will end with someone walking into him again. He glances up and down, as though unsure of whether to address the person or the sword.  **“Ack! No kidding. But yeah, I’m fine,”** he says, indignantly straightening his hat. But he can’t stay upset when there are important questions to ask. **“Hey, I know my way around magic swords, but is this one _talking?”_**

On the new chapter (spoilers to follow)

Ok so because of Retaining Eyes, Shintaro is able to recall the events of past routes, yeah? And he’s pretty protective of Momo, in a roundabout, tsundere way, but he still cares very deeply about her. So in the STR timeline, how does he deal with Hibiya? Like, I know that everyone knows it was really the snake killing Momo but he used Hibiya’s body to do it, so it seems logical to me that Shintaro would now be pretty anxious around Hibiya, since , y’know, someone else he loved fell off a tall building to their death. If it was me, I wouldn’t trust the kid at all, (not to mention that he’s like, 12, and he’s openly stalked Hiyori. Creepy, dude). I dunno, maybe I’m being stupid but these are my thoughts on the new chapter and everyone’s favorite hikiNEET.
