Red (Taylor’s Version) clues

Since the announcement yesterday (see here), it has occurred to me to gather some of the clues we missed and share them so we can collectively commiserate over our completely foolish and utterly misguided thoughts.

Honestly though, I missed all the reasons why everyone thought we were getting 1989 next, but I should have known it would be Red because…

Taylor’s whole ensemble from the BRIT’s (held on May 11th). The outfit reminds me of Red tour outfits (see below), not to mention her hair is styled somewhat similar to “the Red look” (bangs across the forehead and hair slightly wavy). Obviously the main clue from this exhibit is “22”, but I don’t doubt that our beloved queen planned her whole look for the night with every intention of foreshadowing Red.

It has come to my attention that Olivia Rodrigo was given a ring by Ms. Swift, a ring that just so happened to resemble one worn during the Red era. Coincidental? I think not, especially when you notice the new and improved ring on the Red (Taylor’s Version) cover art.

Exhibit C

Red was released in 2012 and Red (Taylor’s Version) is about to drop here in 2021. Pretty similar dates, right? It just makes sense, okay?
