happy pride
📓 (for the ask game :0)
hi oli 💕
this one takes place when tim’s on his sabbatical in the red robin run. basically, all four of his siblings break into his apartment for different reasons, and notice the pictures he’s taken with/of them. this makes them appreciate him and (if they didn’t before) start to consider him as their close family.
also each answer is gonna have a snippet now, because i CAN.
Jason hesitates, perched on Tim's windowsill, and takes a deep breath.
He steps inside, careful to put a little more weight into the landing so the kid can hear his arrival, and waits for him to come scurrying out.
The Pretender does not come scurrying out.
Unnerved, Jason keeps the window open and walks soundlessly around the (seemingly lifeless) apartment. Something feels...off, but he holds himself back from snooping around to give Tim some semblance of privacy.
This lasts for the entirety of five minutes.
📓 ;p (bcos i want 2~)
ooh i love this one: jason goes to gotham academy and it sucks because they’re all classist dickheads. but there’s one weirdass kid who has Humongous Eyes and is definitely the skinniest, palest kid he’s seen in a long time
jason calls him ‘short stack’.
anyway here’s an excerpt that makes me grin every time
Jason pinches the bridge of his nose because no way is this kid in high school. His voice makes him sound like he won't be touching puberty with a ten-foot pole.
Christ. "For starters, Short Stack," the kid makes a sound of protest, "who the fuck are you?"
"My name isn't 'Short Stack'. I'm just small for my age," the kid says defensively.
Jason waits a little, eyebrow raised, and the kid deflates a whole inch. "Timothy Drake. And I'm almost twelve," he mumbles.
