Gold Filigree & Glitter Borders: Textural Contrasts in Traditional North Indian Earthenware
Blending rich festive pigments with sparkling textures and resin bead masonry. 🏺✨❤️
This set of Handmade Red Floral Terracotta Diyas showcases the delicate line-work and festive border settings preserved by multi-generational pottery families across North India. Hand-moulded entirely from natural alluvial riverbed clay sand soil (Baalu Mitti), their design traces back directly to the earliest oil-burning earthenware artifacts found at Indus Valley Civilization archaeological sites like Harappa and Mohenjo-daro (circa 3300 BCE – 1300 BCE).
