Red is a bit of an anxious mess. Basically her whole thing is that "They're going to beat me with hammers if I don't figure out my really cool gimmick RIGHT FREAKING NOW"
But she panics about it so hard and is so Determined to be One of The Gang and Unique and Important and Indispensable- that she winds up masking/pressuring herself REALLY HARD before she even really finds out who she wants to be for herself :[
She tends to internally pressure herself and copy people a lot, trying to fit in and figure out who she wants to be. She worries about others' wellbeing a lot, and gets separation anxiety if left alone too long.

During the shuffle of the knight wrecking the flower shop, unused red seeds were knocked off a shelf, and when Blue was replanted with Yellow, one of those seeds wound up in their soil and grew.
They're vaguely aware another presence is in their display, but it becomes more obvious what's going on when they get taken to Castletown.
What they re-materialize to find, is a little green sprout clinging to Blue like her life depends on it. Based on who she showed up with, along with her hue, they naturally assume she's Yellow and Blue's kid. The flowers, who have ZERO experience with babies, struggle to figure out how to take care of her at first.
(They name her Olivia (because she's olive colored).)
She's really sick for the first few days of being in Castletown, and they worry she won't make it, but with careful care, she eventually gets better and grows into a bud.
Yellow panics at first when he wakes up to find her changing color, and calls the others in, thinking she's gotten sicker- but eventually the group figures out she's not Yellow and Blue's child at all- she's a stray red seed that wound up in their display.
She grows up a bit more over time, but they're surprised to see her stay little like Aqua.
Unfortunately, this child whose shown up is 3 seconds old, thinks she has to be important and cool or she'll get thrown out, is forever separated from her other seed siblings, and has no idea what's going on

🐞 -Relationships With Others- 🐞
Blue - Adoptive father. Very attached to, and looks up to him. Red often goes to him for comfort and advice, and likes trying to copy his dance moves. Blue is delighted to have a child, but worries a lot for her mental wellbeing.
Red picks up most of her emotional regulation tools from Blue, along with a good dose of sass Blue finds entertaining to hear from an 8yo. They love each other a lot :]
Yellow - Adoptive father. Very attached to, and looks up to him. Yellow's honestly just incredibly overjoyed to have a kid in general, but worries a lot about accidentally being a bad influence (heehoo moral OCD).
They love each other a lot, and Red will often run and hide behind him if she gets scared. She likes to copy his speech pattern & cowboy poses. She uses finger guns because she's not allowed to have a real one. :]
Flowery - Uncle/brother/cousin figure. At first, she was scared and intimidated by him. She was afraid of messing up around him because she knows he's the sort of leader of the flowers, and worries that if she does something wrong and upsets him, he'll make her leave like how Asgore discarded the original Red flowers.
Now that she's gotten to know him, she's less anxious around him- even looking up to him and confiding with/going to him for comfort on occasion.
Piper - They haven't interacted much, but Red thinks she's cool
We don't know what the Red Soul actually does since we usually play as them, but her battle gimmick probably involves something like a rhythm heaven-esque dance battle?
Maybe one attack pattern is like an FNF game with the arrows thing
Calls other flowers in during her battle for help, or mimics their attacks?
Had she existed in Chapter 5, her goodbye would have gone something like;
I wanted to be as big a bloom as the others for the bouquet...
But... maybe it's okay I dunno how yet?
"Yer only a bud, after alls"
That's how papa says it, so it's prolly right.

-Red fidgets with her wings when she's anxious, and will sometimes, either on accident or on purpose, make small tears on the edges. When others catch her doing this, she's cape-jailed. (Made to put on her cape to fidget with instead so her wings can heal)
