Red Heads: Rohini & Krittika

i’ve noticed a pattern in taurus nakshatras. rohini and krittika placements were the most common for red heads, either in their big 3 or other planets. i did not include mrigashira because its in between taurus and gemini. it did show up a bit.

the name rohini in itself is known as “red” or “the red one” or “the reddish one” from sanskrit origin. it also marks initiation by heat, meaning anything that comes near it ultimately turns to fire. the deity of krittika is agni, the fire god, and we all know fire has reddish orange flames.

some krittika or rohini natives are natural red heads, but i noticed that many of them either dye their hair red (like christina hendricks and lucille ball) or have a red tint to their hair (like the kalogeras sisters).

Judas is often depicted in paintings with red hair because he was made to stand out from the others and red heads were said to be evil. he symbolized fire like destruction and betrayal. as i said before krittika is ruled by Agni, the fire God. the phrase, “hair of judas” was used as an insult.

the origin story of krittika involves the 3 krittika sisters adopting and raising Kartikeya after he is abandoned. this is similar to how Judas came into the picture. he was quite literally adopted by Jesus/chosen to be one of the 12 apostles.

no one knows if he actually had red hair but i felt this somewhat correlated
