okayokay so yknow, we doing this my guy. uhh i kinda littered each one with different headcanons and tried to focus each one on a different aspect of link’s personality! so incase you can’t read my hand writing, which tbh no one really can its so sloppy ew, here’s what each one says
Link: A well meaning and truly skilled kid, who’s maybe a bit arrogant and hiding something. He tends to put others before himself, and overworks a bit too much. Though he knows his skills, so he’s a bit arrogant. He has deep anxieties about being 100% all the time, and suppresses and negative traits. + Portrayed without bow + arrow, gnat’s hat, and roc’s cape
Green: Represents Link’s outward attitude of being friendly, dedicated, and basically what he wants everyone to think of him as. He lacks any emotional intelligence and is kinda clueless, but he’s the group’s “older brother” and second most protective. + Gains Link’s Pegasus boots!
Red: Represents Link’s innocence. He’s literally a ball of sunshine and maybe a pyromaniac, but don’t worry about it. The most emotionally healthy and “youngest brother” + gains Link’s gnat’s hat!
Blue: Represents Link’s inner emotional state: anxiety. He’s the most alert of the group and trusts no one. He’s also Link’s reactions reality, contrasting Red. While arrogant, he’s the most empathetic [towards others]. + Gains Link’s roc’s cape!
Vio: Bastard. Mean boy. I love him. Vio is the personification of Link’s “worse” traits, what he wants to ignore. He’s selfish, manipulative, and cunning. He’s easily the most intelligent of the group. However, he’s also the most protective of the others, even if its through strange means. His goal is self preservation. + gains bow and arrows, and beauty mark that i thought his mom might have :)
other misc notes include:
- each duo contrasts each other. such as red and blue (innocence vs. reality), and green and vio (exterior attitude vs. interior attitude)
- green’s considered the “leader” due to his pleasant attitude, although vio is the groups strategist and could be the leader, if he had any ounce of giving a shit
- if you want to relate them to the sigmund freud personality theory, here’s how they match up! blue would be the ego, green is the superego, and vio is the id. (unfortunately, red is not included due to there only being three parts)
- vio isn’t a complete asshole, he just has no problems in hiding his personality. he prioritizes the protective of himself, or more technically, Link as a whole. he understands that if one of them dies, Link is gone and while never return to normal.
- While green is protective of the others, vio’s self preservation goals outrank him
- Red is lowkey the most emotionally healthy due to the fact that he yknow, actually copes with his problems. god could you imagine actually doing that?? i cant.
- Blue is always on alert, this also makes him incredibly exhausted. he can be found sleeping in the roc’s cape pretty often.
- Blue is also surprisingly, very empathetic towards other’s and their issues. While Red is sympathetic, Blue will actually understand what you’re going through.
