“Hey, hey Kid!” Dick greeted you as you walked up the stairs, your backpack full with books, a drawing pad, colored pencils and your laptop. As you reached him on the stairs, he ruffled your hair before he pulled you in for a hug, “Haven’t seen you around lately.” He mentioned as he pulled away. He looked happy, but that could change in a heartbeat.
“Sorry,” You said automatically, hoping to placate him, “I-“
Dick smiled at you again and gave your head a pat,” No apologizes Kid, go see Timbers!”
You beamed and rushed up the stairs to the media room. Tim was getting ready for the movie marathon, he had stacks upon stacks of DVD set up in these large towers that looked ready to topple over at any moment. Tim turned as you rushed in and he grinned at you, “Y/N! You made it!”
“Yep,” You nodded and set your backpack down onto one of the multiple couches that surrounded the coffee table which held all of said movies. “Coin toss?”
Tim sighed and held up the quarter, “Yes, you call?”
You grinned and carefully kicked off your shoes and set them out of the way under the coffee table,” Heads.” You simply said just as Tim tossed the coin as you flopped down onto the couch. Tim caught the quarter and showed it to you, prompting you to punch the air with a triumphant cry and Tim to collapse in defeat.
Tim threw his hand over his eyes,” Great, what’s my poison?” You reached forward and carefully pulled a dvd case without upsetting the rest of the stack easily. Then you held up the case for Tim to see. He peeked our from behind a few fingers and groaned once again,” THE NOTEBOOK?!?”
You grinned again, and Alfred rolled in-literally, as he rolled in a cart full of snacks- and Alfred noticed the movie in your hand and he grinned, “Ah, a wonderful choice Miss. Y/N.”
You smiled back at him and helped moved the snacks over to the table, nudging Tim into helping. As you both settled into watching the movie, you pulled a blanket around yourself and draped your legs over Tim. Tim rested his head on his hand and propped his arm up by his elbow.
As the movie wore on, you found yourself more and more emotional. You could feel Tim’s eyes on you, after all, you forced him through this movie multiple times, and you usually didn’t get emotional over it. Tim paused the movies are you attempted to hide yourself by covering yourself with the blanket.
Tim shifted his weight and moved a bit closer to you, “Y/N? Are you okay?”
You sniffled, “Em’ Fine.”
Tim sighed, and gently lifted you legs so he could get out from underneath you,” Come on, Y/N,” He said gently as he got onto his knees in front of you. He gently touched your shoulder that was covered in the blanket, “I know you better than that. What’s up?”
You didn’t move the blanket as you whimper out, ” I’m just sad cause No one’s ever gonna love me like that. I don’t deserve it.” As Tim fell silent you felt your pulse quicken and you realized your mistake. You held in your tears and started to stutter out,” I-I’m sorry. I must sound so stupid right now, I think it’s just-“
You cut yourself off as Tim gently hugged you. He had gotten up and sat down next to you so fast that you didn’t have time to process it. You froze and Tim gently started rubbing the back of your head with easy strokes (well over the blanket, but still). “Y/N, I had no idea you felt this way.”
“Tim- I-“
“No, please listen,” Tim whispered, gently pulling away the blanket and you were ready to deal with any sort of negative reaction-only to see his eyes misted over and the most easy, open and relaxed body language you had ever seen Tim have. “You deserve love Y/N. You deserve so much love I can’t even begin...” He took a breath and gently grasped your hand in his, “You have the most beautiful hair, the way the sun will hit it and bring out the red in the brown is just so mesmerizing. And your eyes they’re... they’re like coming home... with this steady toughness that tells me that you’ll always be there for me.”
You had stopped crying at this point, but now you were missing up for a whole other reason,” Tim, please, don’t...”
Tim looked back up at you,” But I... Y/N I don’t want you to feel like you don’t deserve love because... I love you.”
You flinched away,” Tim, please don’t lie-“
“I’m not,” Tim whispered, and it was in that whisper you heard it. His honesty, or rather the fear that he might have offended you, that you might not believe him and run away and he might have ruined this moment forever. “I love you, Y/N. I promise.”
You smiled and leaned forward to wrap your arms around him, “Thank you Tim. “ He nodded, understanding. You did love him, but you knew it was going to take awhile for your to actually believe yourself and him, for the walls to finally break down. But Tim would wait. After all, he promised.

Batman looked over at you as you sat on the swivel chair in front of the batcomputer. He glanced over at Robin, Red Robin and Nightwing, waiting for his explanation as to why you were there," She grew up on lies. Either it was from her mother's mouth or from the man who she always thought was her father."
Batman was analyzing you, like you were some stranger and not a close family friend for a little over fifteen years, a holder of the Batfam secret for five. It made Tim's stomach twist in anger. Your mother was Poison Ivy, but when she turned to a life of crime, she abandoned you. You were taken in by Bruce for a bit before he found a man claiming to be your father. Everything was supposed to be in order, paternity tests came back good. You had been safe.
Until Poison Ivy crashed your graduation from Gotham Academy, and kidnapped you. She'd hid you for a good year and a half, and you were both relieved and horrified when you had been with her. Relieved that your mom wanted to be back in you life. Horrified at how she took you away from your life as you knew it.
Until, your father got involved with Batman...
You didn't know where you were, you hadn't ever since your mother stole you away. She'd taken you out of Gotham, one of the reason you'd stayed hidden for so long. You sometimes thought the Amazon Rainforest, sometimes you thought some place in Mexico, and sometimes you thought you were on a whole other continent, like India, and that brought out a whole other possibilities.
Your mother was kind, she didn't act like nothing had ever happened when she abandoned you at the ripe old age of eight, and by the amount of screaming matches you both had, she couldn't ignore it. "You're not leaving," she said in a raised voice," I’m keeping you safe!"
"From what? Assimilating into society?" You snapped back, pulling your h/c hair into a bun.
Your mother stomped over and lightly smacked your hands away from you hair,"Let me." She muttered, calling vines to her and weaving them into you hair. It seemed it would be a tame fight tonight.
You stood still as she worked, but that didn't stop your voice box,"Mom, I have to go back. I'm already behind a year and a half, I'll have to catch up to everyone."
"I've been teaching you plenty," You mother sighed as she had Y/F/Flowers grow into your hair, complementing the color nicely. "You wouldn't have to play catch up at all."
"Having Harley send her old school books for me to study out of doesn't count as teaching me." You growled pulling away from her,"I need updated texts-"
"You're not leaving," You mother said sternly, crossing her arms as the trees bushes, and vines shaking around you, shrinking together in a tighter formation.
You knew when to step off before the plants started attacking you due to your mother's emotions. She'd stop them, but not before they got a few unexpected hits in. You had a scar on your arm from one of your more heated arguments. You fell silent,"Yet," you muttered under your breath," Im-"
"Go to your room," Your mother interrupted you from saying exactly what you wanted to say. "Go there. Stay there. Now."
"Who-"
"Go," your mother yelled at you, though you didn't have much of a choice as large vines wrapped around you and carried you to your 'room' which was basically a pocket of vines, trees and other vegetation that was connect to the rest of the house up in the trees. You didn't scream, as this had happen hundreds of times, but never this fast. Thankfully the vines were still gentle as the set you down in your room.
The vines and trees closed in around you, basically trapping you in the dark. The plants that your mother created with bioluminescent leaves started to glow, and you had a bit of light to stumble over to you bed. Your mother kept the house safe with anti-insect and arachnid plants, wether through pheromones or plants that would eat them. So your sheets were usually safe as you collapsed down into them. You couldn't hide your Go bag from your mom, and she unpacked it every time she found it, but you grabbed it from the side of your bed anyway.
There was a loud crash and your mother screamed in anger,"Leave, now!" The sticky sweet smell of pheromones filled the air as your mother started to fight the intruders. She made you immune to all of them, thankfully so you went as close to the wall as you could, listening to the sounds, there had been a few attacks from locals, but this time it didn't seem to be that. This was outsiders, your friends.
"I want her back Pamela!" Your father yelled,"You can't just hold her captive!"
"She's my daughter," Your mother screamed,"I'm the only one strong enough to protect her."
You chewed your lip, conflicted. Your mother loved you, she wanted to keep you safe. She was just going about it the wrong way. Your father wanted to protect you from her, but you didn't need protection from her. You placed your hand on the wall,"Listen," you whispered to the plants," I know you like to listen to my mom. But I need your help. I need you to let me out. I want to help protect my mom from getting hurt."
The vines quivered in response before a small hole opened up, you were shocked because they never wanted to listen to you. But you slipped out of it anyway. The pheromones were thick in the air, making you a bit dizzy with the change of air, you shook your head to clear it and marched on. You came upon your mother fighting Batman, Red Robin, Robin, Nightwing and your Father-all in gas masks. Your mother had Robin and Red Robin wrapped up in vines despite their struggles, Batman was the main attack force while Nightwing worked to protect your father from the plants. You walked calmly towards them, no one had seen you yet. You were sure you looked like your mother, as she made you clothes from her plants (mostly Cotten, cause you could only be so comfortable) you were barefoot, and your hair was still done up with flowers.
You glared at them all, the tree branch and vines under you trembled in response to you emotions,"Enough," You said quietly, and the plants paused in their actions allowing Nightwing and your father to dodge a deadly spike of green just in time. Batman jumped away from you mother, preparing to throw a batarang at her," ENOUGH," You yelled more forcefully. The plants reacted to your voice, no longer listening to you mother, instead, they wrapped around you mother, Nightwing, stopped Batman's batarang before it struck your mother and then wrapped around Batman. You stepped out into the middle of the room, where there wa a Abigail patch of sun from your friends forcing their way in. Everyone turned to you,"No more fighting."
Your mother squirmed,"Let me go," she commanded the vines, but they held fast to her under your mental orders. She let out a disgruntled scream.
You strode forward your father closing in on you with a calm, happy smile,"Y/N," he whispered, shaking,"Come here."
"Get away from her," Your mother screamed,"Y/N! Don't trust him- He's not your father!"
You froze, eyes widening, Your mother had promised to never lie to you. Why was she trying now," Stop," you barked at your father.
He took another step,"Y/N? You don't seriously believe-"
"I. Said. Stop," You snapped, the trees and vines rustling around you, and your father froze.
The batfamily was still struggling in their captive states,"Y/N," Red Robin- Tim your friend, you reminded yourself-called over to you,"Let's us go. Please."
You glanced over at them. Your mother had said she was protecting you, from them? From your father? You took a step away from them, trying to clear your head,"W-What's going on?" You demanded, glancing over at your mother.
Your mother opened your mouth to tell you when your father lunged at you. You managed to dodge him, but your mother entered momma bear mode. "Get away from my baby," she screamed and managed to get one hand free, directing the plants straight at your father as you scrambled away. They didn't kill him, like you expected your mother to, but on did pierce his shoulder and held him to the ground. "You Bitch!" He screamed for a moment before he just grit his teeth and held onto the vine.
You started to shake, you were confused, you were scared. Red Robin called out to you again,"Y/N let us go, Y/N! Let us help you!" You knew he was safe but that desperation in his voice set you on edge.
You flickered your eyes up to them, your mother was exhausted, she was hunched over the vine that held her, breathing hard but still conscious. Nightwing called out to you-Dick, he was always so nice and safe- "Y/N," he was calmer than Red Robin, it soothed you and a shiver went through the trees and vines,"Y/N, you're safe. Let us go."
You took a breath before releasing the Batfam. Each falling to the ground with their own certain grace. Red Robin had to be held off from Nightwing before he ran straight at you. They both nodded and walked calmly towards you while Batman cuffed your mother and Robin- Damian-went to check on your father. Red Robin stopped in front of you,"Y/N? Are you okay?"
You shook your head,"I... don't know..."
Red Robin reached out and you grabbed his hand like a vice, he grit his teeth but didn't complain,"You're gonna be fine."
