hi :)! Could you tell me what was in question 6 besides translation and antibody production? Because I have no memory of these questions appearing on paper 2 and now I think that probably I should've chosen that one.

as close as i can remember, question 6 was as follows

6. a) List four functions of membrane proteins [4]

b) Explain the process of translation in the synthesis of polypeptides [8]

c) Explain the process of antibody production in the immune response [6]

hmm Q5 was

a) Draw the structure of DNA [5]

b) (can’t remember b, but it was also worth 5 points)

c) Discuss the effects of gene modification using a named example [8]

and i don’t remember much about Q7 except that a) was discuss the optimum pH, temperature etc. and other properties of a named amylase or something similar

i read the question like 97 times, i’m pretty sure it’s translation (man i hope i’m right it didn’t even occur to me to question myself afterwards shit)

hmm i wrote basically

macrophages engulf antigens → antigen markers → recognised by helper t-cells stored in lymph nodes → t-cells activate appropriate B-cells → B-cells divide/differentiate and produce antibodies → antibodies target antigens → after antigens are destroyed, some B-cells stay behind as memory cells → this is why we have immunity to some diseases eg chicken pox after having suffered them once

but i didn’t remember what happens to the rest of the B-cells so i didn’t mention them at all… idk i guess they either disappear or deactivate

also i’m pretty sure i wrote β-cell instead of B-cell oops but i guess maybe it doesn’t matter that much??

...the flat in which i'm currently living in warsaw consists of only one room XD so i have no doors to close. but when i'm at home, i always leave the door halfway open.

2.Most annoying thing?

ohh, there are many... when people don't respect your ~alone time~ and don't get that you are perfectly fine sitting in your room on your own all day. also- useless classes at uni and teachers who can't teach you a thing and only waste your time -.- 

3. Last person you hugged?

umm... one of my best friends when i visited her last friday, i guess? ♥ i have few people to hug in warsaw D:

4. Do you like Christmas?

yeah, sure. quality family time and stuff.

it depends; i've been quite fond of green tea lately, but i absolutely love a good, strong latte when i'm tired.

5. um, apart from polish, i speak english more or less fluently. i'm also quite good at german, and i know basic conversational spanish and japanese.

specifically anime? hm, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, i guess.

i'm boring and i'll go with nature. there are so many pretty and amazing things on earth *___*

i want to see the dinosaurs :D so the Jurassic period, maybe? (just don't let them eat me, please)

being famous seems to be cool but irl, it sucks on so many levels... if anything, it'd be amazing to be an internationally recognized and admired artist. or a writer?

this is such a great concept, but i honestly don't know XD i'd like to think that i'm drift compatible with my closest friends?

please, give me a sense of purpose.  aaand i'm just going to be selfish and shallow here and avoid the deeper topics, so- i wanna be financially secure and make happy as many people as possible.

7. Is there anything you wish people surrounding you stopped doing?

i wish they stopped... ugh, making assumptions based on appearance or stereotypes, thoughtlessly hurting other people, forcing people to fit in, live and act according to standards set by others, trying to decide what others can or cannot do taking into consideration only their personal beliefs and opinions... i could go on and on.

8. What kind of first impression do you think you make?

some time ago i became acutely aware of the fact that i make a truly terrible first impression, because of many many things, including my perpetual bitch face (which is sadly my default expression) and body language. since then i've been working on changing my attitude and controlling my facial expressions, and guess what, it's working. yeah, i'm surprised too.

9. How long would you survive in the Hunger Games?

i'm fairly certain i could be one of the people who would survive the longest. i've got the spirit.

10. If you could clone anyone and keep him/her for yourself, who would that be?

this is embarrassing um, Mäx? idk, i just wanna be friends with him

simply the beauty of Earth, of environment, i would miss all the places i've never had an oportunity to explore.

maybe 1950s. it would be pretty nice to see all those fashionable women being so classy and representing the classic canon of beauty

don't want to be famous, it would cause me too much trouble.
