Book Motel brings together a disparate grouping of writers, educators, artists, publishers, and polymaths to collectively construct a site of consideration around the expanded notion of Publication as an act of Public Making.
Through a pedagogy of idleness, Book Motel asks its student / teachers to collectively imagine how we might move away from a Politics of Response towards a Culture of Release utilizing the mechanism of Publics and Publication.

The “Obscene Materials” in question were projects, texts, and a Second Life recreation of some buildings from Home, WA., a little known - though much admired by R76 folk - anarchist colony founded in the late 1800s such south of Tacoma, WA. in the Salish Sea.
