Hey friend! I'm so delighted with your bioactive tanks that I've decided to make one. I'm picking up a small (17x11x12") secondhand tank tomorrow with two mesh sides, and I was wondering what you thought would make a good inhabitant! I've kept a variety of herps, but this is staying near my bed, so I'd rather not have noise and light at night. What do you think would work best?
OH MAN that would be amazing for mourning geckos. You could have a really healthy colony in there and they would love it. They’re pretty quiet and are nocturnal- they prefer it to be dark at night!

Scully actually just moved down to the lower level!--I actually came to the conclusion that he might have been trying to hunt his new neighbor, Duke Wimbledon, which I didn’t even consider until I realized that there was just enough of a window into DW’s enclosure and that DW is approximately similar dimensions to the r*ts that Mulder’s eating now.
I went ahead and installed a ~~privacy hedge~~ in DW’s enclosure (a.k.a., I took some synthetic vines that a friend sent me a long time ago after his boa passed, cleaned them up real good, trimmed them and then arranged them along the perimeter of DW’s enclosure), and that immediately solved the issue on Mulder’s end; he’s minding his business just fine.
DW didn’t know how to take the new addition to his already dramatically changed environment, but after about 45 minutes he settled into his hide again and fell asleep, so it must not be the worst thing to have ever happened to him in his lizard life.
There's an app called "garden answers" that's been really helpful to me in identifying plants, maybe it could help u as well!

I think everyone’s slowly getting beefier as I draw more and more and that’s totally fine by me tbh
