Have you ever put up a throw away post that became so popular you yanked it?

no - those ARE my most popular posts. The ones with huge numbers are almost always throwaway silly posts.

The ones I spend time on never seem to do as well.

I HAVE put up a throwaway post that was so stupid or needlessly offensive that I just had to evaporate it after coming to my senses.  :D  (sometimes with the help of a sensible mutual)
