A Jeweled Adventure

I met Karen and Simon, the husband and wife creative duo pictured here, at our “From Here to Infinity” event with Allday // The Gift Shop at Redbull Studios last Summer. We had conversed on instagram, after I was tagged in the photo of Karen in her Black + White Diamond Three Stone Hazeline Engagement ring, glowing in the Long Beach California sun. 

The newlyweds shared with me their love story, which was perfectly and quite serendipitously befitting of the Desert Road trip theme of last Summer’s party. So....in a nutshell, the two had eloped instead of having a formal wedding. And taking the liberty of spending what money would have gone into that one memorable event, they manifested a cross country road trip - including a month long stay in my homeland, New Mexico- that led to the launch of their collaborative venture North + Nomad. Karen and Simon now spend their days making beautiful motion pieces and traveling the world.

When I caught up with them recently, they shared another beautiful layer to the love story! Tattoos instead of wedding bands. You know I love that!!!
