Hey guys isn’t it so cool how our spelunker RedCanary is named that? And how canaries were brought into mines, and their deaths would signal to the miners that they needed to leave before they died? The Canary is the first to die. And maybe RedCanary is dead, and maybe they’re not, but either way, they’re a symbol of the beginning of the horrible things to come
This came to me in a dream
[Image ID: A digital drawing of Red Canary from The Magnus Protocol. They are a black masculine presenting person. They are shown from the chest up and are wearing a turtle neck, hoodie, and wide headband all in shades of muted reddish-gray. Their have a scared expression and there are tears falling down either side of their face. In the center of the drawing, covering up their eyes and much of the top half of their face, there is a bright red canary falling with its wings stretched above it. The background is a dark murky green with various alchemical symbols written in dark red. In the lower left side of the drawing “Canaries should stay above ground” is written in a bright red, italicized, type writer style font. /End ID]
the open internet format episodes are my favourite so far. there's just something so unsettling about getting only bits and pieces of information. rather than a full conversation where the person tells someone everything that happened, we just get quick posts, brief follow-ups, sometimes typed in a hurry.
and then there are the deleted pictures and posts. the knowledge that there was something there but you can no longer access it. the crucial information and evidence that has been destroyed.
what did redcanary actually do to their eyes?
what did tom actually see in the movie? what happened to them after the screening?
it provokes our curiosity and leaves so much room for the imagination, for our brains to conjure up the most terrifying possibilities.
tmagp spoilers, CAT123 alchemy theorizing
for your viewing consideration: the OIAR's logo, showing what appears to be an inverted alchemical symbol of the Philosopher's Stone...
so, let's talk Category 1, 2, and 3, today CAT1 in particular. I think these may be matching to the alchemical primes: 🜍 ☿ 🜔 Respectively: Soul, Spirit, and Body - all seen in the sigil of the OIAR What elements of fear and dread might associate with each of these? Let's start with Category 1. Our category 1 statements so far have been: -Reanimation (partial) -Needles! -Mr. Bonzo! -Mr Bonzo again Or, to approach this from the other angle: what is *not* in the CAT23 statements that is in the above: (Red Canary and the Tattoo (corpse) -/- compulsion) I think there's a strong case for Category 1 being that of Body. The reanimation had a focus on the remains, Needles and Mr. Bonzo are highly visceral. There's a focus on flesh, less so on spirit/soul. In contrast, RedCanary was much less physically visceral and much more driven by emotions and curiosity and desire to know - similar to the other 23 statement. Lena Kelley: "In order for the wheels to keep on turning, all these forces need to be monitored and balanced. That is where we come in."
previously: nice job everybody who voted that the OIAR might be monitoring and maintaining "alchemical" balance! Lena's recent words seem to support that...but who knows if she can be believed~
thinking about . redcanary tmagp. what happened to you
