Girl power

Seems that as we grow we keep having to redefine ourselves. Find myself having to determine yet again who this girl in the mirror is after all that she has been through and where circumstances have her now.

At times people try to cut us down or put us up on pedestals and leave us wondering if we are or ca be that person they see.

So, who is the woman I wanna be when its not enough to be bright and beautiful any longer? We have arrived. What is she known for, whats she like, whats her dress sense, her tone of voice, her temparament, her visions and her goals?

Its a different girl staring back in the mirror than before. This one dont need validation or clarification. No questions asked this time - its all her. The council is suspended, relieved of duty forthwith...She has got this!

Girl in the mirror - Part 2

I keep looking at the girl in the mirror every chance I get, cant get my mind off of her!Cant find the words...Who knew such strength could live within, such beauty inside such an oft broken heart.

I always thought she was full of bad choices and never knew when to walk away. Too often hoped for the best where hope lay in ashes and looked for good in plain BAD people. But what joy she laced that life in! Joy and sorrow mingled like the tales of a much loved red and lace heeled shoe - tips oft changed but well travelled and much admired!
