with his headphones in hand, minato was about to slide them over his ears so he could listen to his music and take a walk by himself when the his senpai’s comment utterly blindsided him. not only had he not said a word to minato during the entire ‘ meeting, ‘ but now he suddenly decided that it would be best to tell him exactly what he felt? not that he minded much, but it still comes as a shock that someone with a persona as powerful and utterly starling as shinji’s would be saying that he’s terrifying. ❛ what do you mean? did i do something? ❜ —it’s likely that he’s incognizant of how frightening his newer personas are, and especially the ease with which he summons and commands them.

❛ i guess i could say the same for you. you won’t let shadows near ken or koromaru, ❜ he’s noticed that it’s become a pattern whenever his group is made up of the four of them. shinji always goes out of his way to protect ken when he can, and though it’s endearing in a way, the look in his eyes when he’s tearing his way through shadows that slipped through the cracks in ken’s defense is... a bit unsettling. somehow, he’s glad that he hadn’t managed to get on shinji’s bad side yet.

“Aragaki-senpai.... what?” She’s already lost. “Tentacles...?” She over heard the other talk. Typical gross guy stuff. This was only sounding worse. She throws her hands up into an exaggerated shrug. “That’s it. I’m going to my room and screaming into a pillow.”

Despite the claws digging deep into his arm, Dr Maruki managed to carefully lower the cat to the ground, watching it sprint off with an expression of satisfaction even through the stinging sensation now a lattice across his triceps. This wasn’t the first time this had happened, after all - as it turned out, most kittens didn’t take kindly to being handled when they were scared, even if it was to rescue them from the branches of a tree.

By the time he had managed to climb down himself and dust himself off, the cat was long gone - a shame, but hopefully she would manage to find her way home and it could forget that the whole traumatic experience had ever happened. Rolling his shoulders, Takuto continued on his walk, rounding the corner only to find that same cat from before circling around the ankles of a tall but somewhat hunched figure who was staring down at his new companion.

“Oh! It seems she’s more of a fan of you than she is me.” A lighthearted chuckle, indicating the fresh clawmarks.
