Symbiosis is getting a slight rebranding! With three of my projects taking place in the world, and the same city specifically I've decided to rename it Symbiosis: An Aeon Falls Story. The other two are Redemption: An Aeon Falls Story, which takes place about thirty years before Sym and follows a former Mafia assassin, and the third I don't have a name for yet but sees the MC get thrown back in time to the early 1400's where they are mistaken for an Angel by the locals and have to try to contend with that whole mess.
Each story will follow a different MC but will have little nods and connections to the other stories in the universe. For example
"For weeks her face and real name were plastered all over the news, social media, and even wanted posters around the city. Her fellow villains ridiculed and distanced themselves from her, and the worst part? The worst part was that her ex seemed to have moved on, even appearing at a gala charity event with another hero on her arm, some upstart newbie who could create suns and control gravity."
This is from the perspective of the time travel story's primary antagonist and ex gf of the MC. So yeah, lots of stuff going on with that universe. I was briefly thinking of placing Final Girl in the same family, but decided to keep it in a separate supernatural/fantasy world.
I'm getting excited for this and have soooo many little connections and fun references planned out. Oh, a quick bit on the non-sym MCs.
The Redemption MC will have physical powers based on their preferred combat style, so range will be enhanced sight, perception, and reflexes, drones/trapper will be intellect and intuition, and obviously a melee oriented MC will have high strength, endurance, etc.
The yet to be named story MC will have angelic type powers, so between two and six wings, players choice, super strength, toughness, and light generation/manipulation.
I do have news regarding Time Warden as well. I have been struggling with it for nearly a year now, feeling like I just can't do 1560's Japan justice and so it has been permanently shelved for the foreseeable future. I know, it's odd that I feel confident writing something in 1400's France/England but not something in 1560's Japan, idk. Writing is weird sometimes.
I haven't scrapped the Time Warden idea permanently, but when I do pick it back up it will probably be a different time period and location, maybe the colonization of North America...
