— — — Now this was going to be a challenge... Sen7inel had the means to prank almost any 'normie' with relative ease. But Ada wasn't exactly normal. The woman's opsec rivaled Sen7inel's own — and that was saying something. That skill was one of the many things she respected about the dark-haired operative. Which is why she had to try.
Hacking Ada was a non-starter. Sen7inel was sure without even looking that would go nowhere. So, the Coyote got crafty — if she couldn't get a foothold on the inside, she'd have to work the outside.
It began with a spoofed text, using a number she'd pulled from some data dump from ages ago that she'd held onto for a 'just in case' moment like this. By all accounts, it seemed to be a legitimate number that led to a legitimate source if you did a reverse trace. The setup was straightforward too — a supposed handler looking for a high-value asset with some codename that fit, the reward generous but appropriate. Included a couple of coordinates. Standard practice in the world of illicit trade.
Assuming she took the bait, Ada would follow the trail to what appeared to be an abandoned building in the old part of town. Brick with exposed wood. Industrial yet hinting at something more. She'd find a few rooms to traverse. One, with the motif of a canine on the doorknob, would require a keycard located in another room, tucked in a book titled 'Myths of the Coyote'. Because of course it would be. Just enough of a puzzle to keep the interest up. But once the operative finally cracked the code?
— — — She'd step right into one of the most elegant speakeasies in town. A table prepared and waiting. Within minutes, the waiter would offer not a menu but a parepared cocktail with a note. On the envelope, one of the first few cover names Ada had given Sen. One from before, when their working relationship had not yet expanded into something friendly.
