get hacked; april fools edition >> @circuitry-and-chaos; fang [ accepting thru apr 1 ]
— — — It was harmless fun. Sen7inel was pretty sure of it, having spent the last few days preparing this little joke of hers. It had taken more time than others, the research she had to apply required more than usual. But the hacker could not pass up the opportunity to pull this particular prank off on the Cybertronian.
First she had to source some energon — a feat that was a little more difficult than she expected, even for the broker of secrets. Once she had that in hand, however, it was just a matter of soldering together some tiny little bots with coded instructions to sprinkle on top, barely noticeable. After that, all she had left was to leave the snack of energon out somewhere she knew Fang would find it — along one of his usual patrol routes.
She still didn’t fully understand how Cybertronian biology worked, but assuming he’d ingest the little treats, Fang would start to feel the sensation of an itch every time he was in his wolf alt-mode. First behind the ears, then the neck. Followed by the underbelly and so on. It would start small, almost unnoticeable, until he was itching all over, those little bots mimicking the behavior of earth’s fleas.
She left a note tucked under where the energon had been:
>> ok so, i kno u said ur not a dog but i am also pretty sure u wouldn’t b able 2 resist these lil scooby snacks. u ever had fleas? is that even a thing on ur planet? watever, we have em here & they r considered an absolute nuisance. let me kno if u agree. don’t worry, they’ll deactivate tomorrow. i think.
On the back of the note, assuming he’d look:
>> p.s. alrite if it’s absolutely unbearable, come find me @ my warehouse. i couldn’t find another cybertronian who would volunteer to let me test these lil buggers on em so i have no idea how bad they r cuz i’ve totally never had fleas myself. defs not.
True to the note, the “fleas” would deactivate at midnight on April 2nd. However, until then, the itch would continue to grow as the little bots self-replicated as April Fool’s Day went on.
