corey arnold is a photographer and an alaskan commercial fisherman and he takes pictures of fisherman and fish. how dope is that? in an industry where every editorial and reportage photographer is looking for the next hot subculture, it's pretty refreshing to see someone working in a niche field that isn't hip at all. this is good old fashioned LABOR.
this photo reminds me of a piece i think i heard on radio lab? i don't remember what the topic was, but this guy was talking about this time he went on vacation with his family and they were diving and a shark bit his leg off (or his arm or both his legs or something). somehow he made it out of the water and somehow he didn't bleed out by the time his family got him to a hospital. he survived, but definitely was like "DAMN i just went to roatán to RELAX and now i don't have ANY LEGS." no legs at all.
real scary shit.
