Politics? There was the CA, 1996, the 1999 referendum 🕊 🚌, 2001 “Ssenyondo”, then a shady referendum, then 2006, then Bugerere Kabaka Journey unrest, then Kasubi Tombs burned, then 2011 with it’s “walk to work” severe comedy, then 2016 was damningly passionless except for the Amama Mbabazi flavour, ... just when i was wondering, “of what fervor will 2021 be?” ... an unexpected card has been dealt, the #peoplepower phenomenon. They’re iconic, aping the radical image of #JuliusMalema, “ #red and #redberet #redfacemask “ ... giving #paintingthetownred a Ugandan twist. Folks are pensive that the global health situation may remove a chance for a passionate #politicalprocess , you know, rallies, bullets, fires, floggings, teargas, water cannons, lots of liquor, meetings, posters, televised debates, consultations (“African Technicians”, other overt religious leaders, and pundits, etc) ... some people say that the incumbent may stun everyone and concede defeat if the entertainer turned politician Bobo Wine manages to sway majority Ugandans. So, there. Maybe there’s a chance for concerned active #politicalanimals and other happy campers plus camp followers to get down and uppy! You know what they say, that, “It’s either the rule of law or the rule of low.” ... oh, bets all on the hope that whatever the way things roll, we, i.e everyone living in Uganda, manage to maintain a stable ‘climate’ of civil life.
