The broken and incomplete Obelisk 𓏏𓐍𓈖𓉶 “thn” made of red 𓇋𓈖𓋴 “ins” granite 𓌳𓄿𓏏𓏋𓊌𓏫 “mAt” of Hatshepsut in Aswan, Egypt - Beloved Land 𓇾𓌸𓂋𓆵𓇋𓊖𓊖 “tA-meri”.𓏤 Its creation 𓈎𓌳𓄿𓅓𓌙𓏛 “qm3” was ordered by Pharaoh Hatshepsut (𓇋𓏠𓈖𓎸𓏏𓄂𓏏𓀼𓏪) ‘[Foremost of Nobel Ladies], United with Amun’ “imn-ẖnmt ḥA.t šps.wt” (1508–1458 BC 𓆼𓍦𓐁-𓆼𓍥𓎊𓐁), possibly to complement what would later be known as the Lateran Obelisk (which was originally at the Temple of Karnak 𓇋𓊪𓏏𓊨𓏏𓏪 “ip.t-swt.t” in Luxor, and was later brought to the Lateran Palace in Rome).𓋹 The unfinished obelisk is nearly one-third larger than any ancient Egyptian 𓂋𓐝𓎀𓀂𓀭𓏪 “rmT” obelisk ever erected. If finished it would have measured around 42 m 𓎉𓏻 (approximately 137 feet 𓍢𓎈𓐀) and would have weighed nearly 1,090 metric tons 𓆼𓎎 (1,200 tons 𓆼𓍣), a weight equal to about 200 𓍣 African elephants 𓃰. The obelisk's creators began to carve it directly out of bedrock, but cracks appeared in the granite 𓌳𓄿𓏏𓏋𓊌𓏫 “mAt” and the project was abandoned. The bottom side of the obelisk is still attached to the bedrock.
