It has been 5 days, Meeruthiya Gangsters directed by Zeishan Quadri hit the silver screen, appreciated by those who have seen it & those who have no idea about such movie you cannot expect anything from them, thanks to promotion team & advisers.
Film is getting overwhelming response from the audience of Uttar Pradesh because they knew about such film since the time of its inception and also liked & praised by fewer audience from the entire nation who are directly or indirectly connected with the film or their cast and crew. Mostly in those fewer audience are the fans of Gangs of Wasseypur or Definite Khan (Zeishan Quadri).
Everyone was expected that instead of limited promos in television & radios, limited hoardings in the streets of different cities, the film will get its place & appraisal by word-of-mouth but thanks to some prominent newspaper's and web portal's critics it all went for a toss, but there are some critics who wrote what they seen and felt about the content and flavour (thanks to Trisha Gupta - Mumbai Mirror, Sreehari Nair - Rediff.com, Shubha Shetty - Midday, Komal Nahta and to name many) unlike the others whose pen play Dracula unless and until they get something under table, I am very sorry to mention this, but this is the fact of this INDUSTRY.
A film with any famous star or star kid can easily catch the audience's eye but on the other side film with a good actor who have no connection in the industry have to fight hard to survive. In other countries, critics do their job fairly so that newcomers can come to the audience's eye easily but here in India the case is totally opposite.
And lastly and most importantly it is becoming very tough for the new talents such as Filmmakers/Directors/Singers etc who are trying their level best behind the camera for making some space for them too in this MAZE.
