The emperor once more found himself within the halls of a library, though this one seemed a tad more fruitful compared to some of the other places around Spirale.
Despite the late hour, the university library was far from empty, with students of all ages milling about and studying, some alone and some in groups. At the very least, he did not stand out too much here, and it seemed peaceful enough.
Books were not enough. Belos needed to learn how this place ticked, how to wield his magic once more. He was loathe to admit how much he'd learned to rely on his arcane abilities, and how vulnerable he felt without them. The magic of the Boiling Isles worked differently from this place. Whatever it was, he needed answers.
He identified a few individuals who seemed to be regulars at this place. Belos took a shallow breath. It has been very long since he'd had to garner sympathy from another individual, having spent the last century doing nothing but commanding respect. He decided to approach a man in long robes, hoping his intuition led him right.
"Excuse me, kind sir?" Belos inquired, taking a softer tone. "You would not happen to know if this school had a magical studies wing? As a newcomer, I have so many questions about this place."
