took this chance to draw an old headcanon i still like

i have the tendency to portray techno being extremely nonchalant when he gets a major injury. like years and years ago i chopped off his arm for no other reason than for Fun and he was just like "oh ok. thanks for the tea phil" so here is a less insane version where he discovers he's been kintsugi'd by a totem

Hear me out:

I have this hc that Phil randomly got the voices (especially considering a lot of techno viewers migrated to Phil after that day happened)

So like- when c!phil built the techno statue he randomly woke up with a massive headache and slight red eyes- so on occasion when he gets pissed off enough eyes go red and he gets little feathers sprouting afterwards.

this is such a fun headcanon!! the voices adopted him like yepyep we're gonna bother this guy now. thought you were a lone hermit? not anymore bird boy kill those guys for us pretty please

i imagine they're very pleased whenever phil visits kristin and phil withholds visits whenever the voices misbehave bwahaha

WAA WHAT GREAT QUESTIONS!! answers are under the cut because i am YAPPIN

1. the hardest part of making a101 is definitely the workload. i love every step of the process (even if it drives me crazy) but the sheer AMOUNT of it is overwhelming. im still figuring out a method that fits me which is why so many episodes are delayed σ(▼□▼メ)

the easiest part is the writing. that doesnt mean im happy with it (i am not a writer by any means. in fact i am not at all satisfied with the writing of the episodes out currently and its driving me kinda crazy) but i find that its the quickest to do. ive gotten a lot faster at flats and rendering! its still time consuming and flats is reeeaalllyy mind numbing but it doesnt require a lot of effort. i wish so badly i had more hands for this but what can ya do </3

2. ranboo. i inject a lot of my personal experiences into the syndicate members and ranboo is the hardest to relate to for me. at the start their story in a101 was tied deeper into their connection with dream but due to lore reasons that'll get explained in the comic later on it became less compelling and i eventually dropped it. i have a clear idea of what i want out of their character it's just frustrating trying to find a subtle and impactful way to go about it. i love a good challenge though! i'm getting somewhere with them i just know i'll get there soon

3. ahh gosh i'm so excited to answer this one! the main writer that basically single-handedly inspired me to do this whole comic is anarchy-schmanarchy! their ink like tracks in your skin collection makes my hands tingle from how much it inspires me to create

i cant think of any specific visual artist has inspired me with the look of a101 but i will say that the comics castoff, daybreak, and mairuma have been my go-tos when i need panel ideas
