One year ago this week, we adopted Trixie, a now 2 year old miniature pinscher. It has been a lot of work to undo what ever damage was done to her before we got her, but we cannot imagine our pack without her. She gets a long amazingly well with her brother Beau, also a miniature pinscher. Every time I read a story about a dog in a shelter it breaks my heart, but I am so grateful that we rescued Trixie and she is no longer in a Los Angeles County Animal Shelter.
