The nerd/jock trope is more about confidence, I feel. So Nerd!Dean is shy and unsure about himself, though confident in his ability in let's say Physics maybe. But Jock!Cas is cocky/confident because he always has a large following reassuring him of his worth/value. He has all these peers looking up to him since he's on a school sports team and he uses that to inflate his ego, yet he feels uncertain when it comes to Dean because he can't impress the boy as easily. So Cas doesn't have to be mean.

And maybe you could do something like a shepherd/shepherdess!Cas for the icons? I kept thinking of how he reminded me of someone who herds the fluffy little sheep!angels in this last season. ( •ॢ◡•ॢ ) Then I started thinking of wolf!Dean trying to bother Sherherd!Cas’s fluffy sheep. Hahaha. Well, happy drawing, Steffi! ♡♡♡

In my high school we don’t have such “types” (and when fellow Swiss people who were in American high schools come back to tell us that “it’s really like in the movies!!” I’m always shocked).
And I also find it interesting to see what people who write/ draw AUs choose for Dean and Cas! ♥
I love Dean who tries to maintain a cool bad boy image (because that’s easiest and people will leave him alone, but he’s not a bad boy at all. He’s sweet and shy and awkard) or also Dean who’s a “leader of the pack”.
And Cas…. I like him being an odd but still kinda popular because he’s a mother hen and younger kids look up to him for guidance and his peers respect him because he’s good at whatever he does (sports?).
I think. I like everything but Cas being nasty.
