redteeth is the kind of person to say something like "i dont think i get anxious often" after describing symptoms of severe anxiety, both bc shes in denial bc she Needs to be confident and on top of everything in order to fulfill her destiny as starclan's chosen, and bc her environment views mental health struggles in an extremely bad light. she sees her clan, stonefang in particular, treat wolfstar like a lesser being for clearly struggling with trauma and guilt, and she internalizes that. she knows that he was once a great leader, but the way he completely crashed mentally after the Incident during the war made him into something cliffclan is deeply ashamed of. she knows that the only reason the clan hasnt driven him out of the valley or killed him is the warrior code.

if she were to fall down the same path, the clans would surely be doomed, right?

she has a lot of guilt for things that she genuinely had no control over, and the only way stonefang and barkthroat know how to comfort her is by telling her that starclan is testing her, making her stronger so she can save the clans. she has to bear it for all of their sake.

theres also the fact that she feels the need to be better than everyone in order to live up to starclans expectations for her. she wont openly vent abt how someone being better than her fills her with a combination of anger and dread though, since she needs to be the humble n kind hero of the clans.

basically shes bottling up her issues whenever shes not just straight up in denial of them even existing lol.
