🚂- always wanted to use the smile that fits perfectly with the photo. 😆😹 This train that takes you to #Sintra was built back in 1945, straight after the second World War was over. In the train you can even see the month it was built in - July. It’s amazing that it still operates. I love retro stuff with all my heart. 💙It’s like taking a journey through history... imagining all these people being on this same train back in 1945, their excitement and fascination and ... it was the only mode of transport back then. When we thought of parking in Sintra with the car and actually going through (got some warnings ⚠️ about how crazy it is) and the magical experience of the train ride - the answer was obvious. ❤️🚞 I wasn’t the only excited one - every time the train made a stop, they looked with an approving smile and nodded towards it. Possibly paying their own respect this way.
