Somehow I missed this album upon initial release. A more sophisticated zabutom fights against the current of technical difficulties--he lost the source files for these songs several times each, apparently--to meld chiptune bleeps with complex composition and electric guitars, among other things.
Not quite the same as his old school outings with Dubmood, a pairing which I still describe to people as “the Lennon/McCartney of [21st century] cracktros,” but this album is more “cerebral” in a nice way.
