So yeah, here's my entry for @the-redwaller's Redwall voice meme. Apologies for the roughness caused by the mic on my phone as well as the weirdness of my voice in some parts...enjoy!

I encourage anyone who wants to do this meme! Just fill in the following questions below!

1. Where do you live?

I come from the Philippines, the place where Redwall books are merely overlooked by most of the fellow bookworms, with the exception of some curious grade school and high school students. So I think fans there are quite rare, and I’m glad I’m one of those who’ve found this treasure in that part of the world.

2. Where would you live in the Redwall universe?

As explained in this recording, I would rather live in Salamandastron as a haremaid (and Long Patrol recruit maybe). Or if given a chance, perhaps, Redwall Abbey.

3. What’s your favourite Redwall book? (Bonus points for why!)

As far as I can remember, High Rhulain was the one that first brought me to the world of Redwall (I was in fifth grade then). Unfortunately it was a school library copy, so I never got a chance to re-read it when I was transferred to another school during sixth grade. Unless I would find a way to buy my own copy, and that would be an instant fave if I really do!

Currently I have read the first six books in chronological order (with The Bellmaker on my to-read list this month), and my top faves so far are Mossflower, Mariel of Redwall and Lord Brocktree. Listen well for more explanation (apologies for the accent to some of you).

4. Recite or sing your favourite riddle/song/poem!

Also as I mentioned, there are too many. I was going to do my own cover of Martha’s “Rose song” from Loamhedge or Russa’s “If You Dare” from The Long Patrol, but not today, maybe someday.

The song covered here is “Winter O” from Mariel of Redwall. My rendition is not the best, but I hope you enjoy it.

Bonus: Accent time!

In chronological order: molespeech, hedgehog or random vermin (corsair?), another random vermin (searat?), harespeech.

Warning! The most terrible “EULALIAAAA!” I’ve ever screamed will scare you off, and then you’re rickrolled!

My attempt at the Redwall Voice Meme. I aplogise for my hair. It's been super hot the past few days and just cooled down overnight so my window is wide open. :) This was kinda fun. Maybe we should do it again sometime, like read a section from your favourite redwall book or something. I don't know...
