While Delaney excused herself to the restroom for a moment, Reed decided to introduced her mother to Adalynn. “Mom, I’d like you to meet Delaney’s mother Josephine.”
“Nice to meet you, my name is Adalynn,” she smiled kindly at the other woman. “Reed insisted you all be invited tonight, so were very happy to see you could make it.”
“Nice to meet you as well! And yes, your boy is quite the charmer. When he asked us to come, there was no way we couldn’t refuse!”
“Reed’s always been a good kid,” Adalynn bragged a bit, “He always wants to-”
“Alright mom,” Reed huffed shyly. “Enough about me…”
Josephine laughed a bit to herself, “There’s no need to be embarrassed dear. We mom’s just can’t help talking kindly about our babies, especially when you grow up so fast.” Looking behind her, Josephine spotted her husband at the bar. “If you two will excuse me, I think I’m going to grab a drink. Congratulations again hun, young adulthood can be a great adventure!”
“Thank’s Mrs. Cho, have fun tonight!”
“You too Reed, and call me Josephine! No need to be formal,” she called back, waving as she headed towards the bar.
