Skating Lessons | Reese & Anders
“Am I gonna have to tie these for you?” Anders asked snarkily, looking down at Reese struggling to lace up a pair of hockey skates in amusement. “It’s just like tying your shoes, we don’t have to go over that too, do we?” he added with a smirk. “Really, truly, my brother’s 4 year old can do this,” he added one more time for good measure--payback for all of the crap Reese had given him about his hockey stats since they had met. And now that she was requesting skating lessons, it was all the better time to repay her for it.
“Okay, okay. The boot should be tight on your foot, just barely enough room for you to stick a finger in. How’s that feel?” Ders asked. “If it’s any looser, you’ll basically fall out or sprain an ankle. Unfortunately, the phrase ‘break a leg’ doesn’t have the same connotations in this business,” he laughed. “Alright, bend your knees. It’s time to get started.”
