MIDTERM; MOCK TRIAL CLAIM
Dominant Party: Mercedes Jones Submissive: Marisol Lopez ( @marisol-isabel )
Before the week begins what do expect from your partner?
Honesty and communication first and foremost. I want them to feel comfortable enough to talk to me about their needs and expectations and most importantly when something is wrong because that’s what I’m there for, right? I’m expecting us to chill and really take the time to get to know each other. Which will involve lots of cooking and keeping scenes where I’m comfortable: domestic.
What are the rules you and your partner have discussed together, and how do they differ from what you assume your claim will actually be?
Rules: [ link ] This is a hard question because at this point, I don’t know what kind of claim I’ll be in or even if I’ll be claimed or claim someone else. It really is all up in the air for me so we’ll have to wait and see when I have a better handle on my role.
If you’re taking up the Dominant role, how do you feel this will prepare you for a life of taking care of, and providing structure for your Submissive going forward?
I think this has helped a lot. In the past when I dabbled in my Dominance, I didn’t really have the wherewithal to have the structure of rules or a daily schedule for my submissive. So this really gave me the experience I was looking for in that respect, making me feel just a little more prepared if I decided to be the person to claim someone else.
As the week comes to a close what have you learned about your partner, and how do you feel this experience has changed you both going forward?
I’ve learned a lot from Mari. I learned that Tajin can pretty much be used for anything and I will definitely be using it on a regular basis from now on. It has taught me to be mindful of how I balance expectations and rules with empathy and flexibility. It really is a balancing act and you really have to know someone to know when and how to push.
In conclusion do you think, through this experience, you are ready for whatever claim comes into your life?
So as far as being ready? I would say that’s a hell-to-the-no. There’s still so much I need to learn about D/s in general then coming from each side of my mark. And I’m not in a rush.
If not, what do you think needs to change within yourself, or your partner to become ready? If so, what steps are you going to be taking going forward to find someone to fit the needs you’ve found within yourself in a partner?
The steps I need to take are already in motion. Me being here, learning through theory in my classes and through practical application during scenes and my interactions with the people around me.
A Look into the week:
