A Refined Poetry Prompt

Pass through the Night… A Sonnet :)

Points of light the eyes see among the dark

The sky opens to reveal a world

Humans still trying fiercely to leave a mark

A sea above me shimmer and shine like pearls

What lays further than we’re fathomless to see

What can’t we reach with mere sight

More unknown to us than imagined, more than there can ever be

Are there others to share a similar plite

Stare into the way of milk flowing on high

So much beyond our minds eye is there yet to be seen

Wonders pass as the stars move slowly gliding by

Is this spectral nothing more than a dream

If it be real then count them beyond measure

Let them dance in your spirit these points of brilliance a treasure.
