At the risk of upsetting the apple cart once again, here's another look at that mongrel '67/'58/'59/Misc. #Telecaster spotted at The #TwelfthFret, Toronto, a few weeks ago. This #guitar almost caused fist fights (I assume...) when I first posted it, but I am hoping we can all just get along this time! To recap (no #amp repair pun intended): #refinned '59 #Tele body, '67 maple cap neck (refretted with extra-jumbo #frets), '67 neck #pickup, #SeymourDuncan bridge pickup (don't know how old), and '58 bridge (although those saddles look more late 60s to me). The debate was mostly centered around the price ($4375 CAD or $3200 USD) with the pragmatists in the crowd saying that if it played and sounded great then why not, and the others saying that the pragmatists, not to put too fine a point on it, were essentially....well... imbeciles! 😁 Personally-speaking, this may have been a guitar I would have bought earlier in my #guitarcollecting career, when all I cared about was buying something old for relatively cheap. So I can see why it may be the right guitar for someone. #guitars #fenderguitars #vintageguitars #vintagefenders #fendertelecaster #teletuesday #guitarshopping #guitarphotography
