character in general: Now here is a bitch I can talk about. Ahh Golbez, my first Final Fantasy Villain. I loved Golbez. He was this fucking badass son of a bitch who walks in, takes a crystal, kidnaps Rosa and walks out, all the while commanding Kain to do his dirty work. From the very first meeting we know this Warlock is not one to be trifled with. Up until the Tower of Zot Golbez is the perfect foe, you’re made to view him as unbeatable. He’s the one in charge of everything and will get everything he wants with ease.
Then Telleh wounds him with Meteor. The facade of perfection is over, Golbez can be defeated!... Then you learn another frightening fact about him, Golbez was able to brainwash people. For me as a kid, it cast this feeling of distrust to everyone I ran into. Who else did Golbez have under his spell? He’s not unbeatable, but powerful and a lingering threat.
Then he almost wins, almost destroys the world and we find out who Golbez is. A pawn to Zemus who had been under that Lunarian’s power for years. Cecil’s brother, he who abandoned Cecil twenty years before. The cause of it all was this man in dark armor who had no love for his actions, no real desire to bring harm to the world. He risked death to right his misdeeds, then goes away to sleep with the Lunarians, possibly to never see his own brother ever again.
Forgive me for ranting. I love Golbez. He’s one of my favorite antagonists. how they play them: Red doesn’t get on Golbez too often, but I enjoy it when she does. Even still I’m not sure what all I can say here3 the mun: Bitch you already sent Red. Answered here.
follow them: Yes.rp with them: A few times<3want to rp with them: Anytime!ship their character with mine: You know, I’ve never understood that ship. After all the trauma I headcanon as having come from the whole brainwashing thing the fact Kain even trusts Theodor in TaY and Post-TaY is amazing.
**Note: Mun’s answer are all to be completely honest. Don’t send url if you don’t want brutal honesty.
