Nimbu Pani with Sabja Seeds, also known as Basil Seeds Lemonade, is a refreshing Indian drink perfect for hot summer days. The basil seeds add a unique texture to the classic lemonade, making it both hydrating and satisfying.
Ingredients: 2 cups water. 3-4 tablespoons fresh lemon juice. 2 tablespoons sabja seeds basil seeds. 3-4 tablespoons sugar. 1/4 teaspoon black salt. 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder. Ice cubes optional. Fresh mint leaves for garnish optional.
Instructions: For 15-20 minutes, soak the sabja seeds in half a cup of water, allowing them to swell and take on a jelly-like consistency. Pour the remaining water, sugar, roasted cumin powder, lemon juice, and black salt into a pitcher. Until the sugar completely dissolves, stir vigorously. Stir the sabja seeds into the lemonade mixture, adding the water they soaked in as well. You can serve the beverage over ice or add some ice cubes to the pitcher if you would rather it be cold. If desired, garnish with fresh mint leaves. Since the sabja seeds have a tendency to sink to the bottom, stir thoroughly before serving. Sabja Seeds' Nimbu Pani is sure to please!
