So um. I’m trying to take apart one of my reFURBYsh furbs to give her new eyelashes, and the two halves of her shell seem to be stuck together at the back??? Like, I removed all of the screws but it almost seems like at the top and bottom they don’t come apart at all

I got the kind of screwdriver I needed to take off the outside of a Furby, and I got the first one working!!! It actually wasn’t that hard; taking the fur off was more of a hassle than getting him to work again. It was super satisfying turning the gear until he opened his eyes~ I can’t find the hot glue gun, so his fur is going back on later. This one’s a present for one of my best friends who’s been wanting a furby again since I got into them. I can’t wait to give him to her!!

All of my new furbies are de-furred and tested! The green-eyed giraffe, the dalmatian, and the leopard work, and the leopard is mute. I’m going to clean all of their fur once I’m caught up on actual clothes laundry, and next time I have a day with nothing to do I’ll get to work on seeing if I can fix the five that are still comatose.

Oh yeah so I’ve been planning to get my oldest friend a furby for her birthday this year cuz she had one when we were little and she’s been kinda jealous/happy to see mine, and I’m thinking that assuming I can get both of the giraffe ones working, I’m going to keep one and give her the other so we can have twin furbies ^.^

I’m getting all my new Furbies ready to wash! I’ll be testing them/fixing them later when I have more time but for now I can get their fur squeaky clean. I thought I’d feel like a monster taking their fur off but I know I’m doing it to help them so it’s not actually so bad.
