shooting's not just a hobby it's also a way of life for more than a few americans and you should respect that (and this is coming from someone who's never owned or even touched firearms)

Although I’m morally opposed to violent activities and weapons, I have no beef with people who shoot for at targets for sport or for necessity. But I can’t bring myself to respect a “way of life” that values a person’s right to possess military-grade killing machines over a person’s right to go to school or work or shopping without being killed. There is absolutely no reason for an American to need an assault weapon.

Hi, I saw that you're really stressed out about college apps and senior year, and I would just like to emphasize that where you go to college and how you do on the SAT don't determine your future or your self-worth, and that it won't matter in five or six years. Best of wishes!

This eased my mind a lot once I thought about it. I can't even describe how helpful this was. Thank you, so much. Everyone who is stressing out just as much as I am should know this.
