Raine knocked with a heavy hand on the door to House 109. She had announced to her friend that she was planning on stopping by, refraining from saying exactly why, but it became clear as she walked across the entryway. She held a vase of flowers as well as a small basket filled with fresh bread, jam, some soups, and other easy meals (All store-bought, you’re welcome). As she was let into the house she made herself at home by pushing past the man, still clearly in a weakened state, and placed all of the gifts she brought on the kitchen counter.
She turned around slowly with a severe expression and crosses her arms. To think that Regal would be the first of their travelling companions (that she knew of, anyway) to die in Spirale. He was the most level-headed of the bunch--the first to join her in making rational plans. Yet here he was being so reckless as to get himself killed by one of the Stars’ schemes.
“Just as I thought. You look like you’ve been thrown to the wolves. Honestly. I’ll get straight to the point. What happened at the museum, Regal? Are you still hurt anywhere?”
