A story of cabbage: Remember two summers ago when I replaced the collars on two of my 18th shirts? I threw the old collars in the cabbage basket, just in case. This week I dragged one of them out, gave it a hot soapy soak and then ironed it within an inch of its life, because it is about to become interlining in a petticoat waistband.
