Barrio fiesta presents: REGION 6 Western Visayas, REGION 7 Central Visayas, REGION 8 Eastern Visayas, and REGION 9 Zamboanga Peninsula I enjoy this kind of activity, it is an interactive activity that helps us remember what kind of food belong to a particular region or cuisine. For our group, that consist of 13 nursing students, we research about the foods and delicacies that originated from Region 6, 7, 8, and 9. We presented La Paz Batchoy, Cebu Lechon, Otap, Dried mangoes, Barquillos and Chicharon as our chosen food and delicacies. Our professor plays a role of being a food critic or if we really represent our assigned cuisine. After the presentation we roam around the room or go to other room to experience different kinds of foods from other sections. I love for the students invested time and effort to present not only food but also their culture, it's like a whole package and a sneak peek of their country. I have learned that every region or cuisine have different taste that makes it unique from the other and it will make you say 'this taste is from the Philippines or from Japan or China'. I believe that every food is unique in their own way that makes our food world colorful
