Jen Cloher || Regional Echo || Live at the Loft
REGIONAL ECHO by JEN CLOHER.
One of the best of the past year for me.
I’m never gonna lose my head to a setting sun _ This was inspired by Jen Cloher’s Regional Echo
Long time folk rock mainstay Jen Cloher will be releasing a self titled full length on August 11th via Milk! Records / Marathon Artists. The record is described as a raw, unflinching dissection of her life, love, and home in Australia. Raw indeed is earnest moving new single Regional Echo, a song whose title was inspired by legendary Australian poet Les Murray. Regional Echo is a worn and weathered strummer that evokes dusty roads and wide open spaces. In Cloher’s words: “I grew up in Adelaide, a town in South Australia with a population of one million. In summer you could feel the heat blowing in from the desert. There was a remote feeling of not quite being a country town but not being large enough to be taken seriously as a busy metropolis either. Life had a strange amnesia. No-one taught you to dream big”. Regional Echo’s music video truly does echo the sentiments captured in the song. You can pre-order Jen Cloher’s new album, here.
